This block set features four knives: an 8″ chef knife, precisely ground and exceptionally sharp due to its thin Japanese construction and excellent for fine chopping and slicing for stir fries and the like, a slender 6″ utility knife that is perfect for smaller slicing tasks and can even work as a boning knife in a pinch, and finally, a 3.5″ paring knife for peeling, paring, or creating decorative garnishes for veggie trays and the like.
