The Kori 7″ Vetrified Aluminum Oxide Whetstone 1000 & 6000 grit is an ideal combination stone used to create and finish a razor-sharp edge. Use the coarser side (1000 grit) to create a new edge by removing material. Once done, use the finer side (6000 grit) to refine, hone, and polish the edge. This Japanese waterstone needs to be soaked in water for several minutes (until the bubbles stop) before use. During use, we recommend splashing or spraying small amounts of water on the stone to keep it wet and create an abrasive slurry.
